Zirah Global Trades Ltd is a Nigeria-registered export company founded in 2025 by a team of Nigeria-German agribusiness professionals with deep roots in both West Africa and Europe.
We exist to be more than just traders — we are a bridge between ethically conscious buyers and hardworking African producers. Our mission is clear: to connect socially responsible businesses with premium-quality agricultural products sourced through fair, sustainable, and transparent practices.
From ginger to hibiscus, shea butter to soybeans, every product we export carries a story — of communities, trust, and care.
OUR STORY
The seeds of Zirah Global were sown long before its formal registration — in Nigerian farmlands and European lecture halls. Our founder, Ola, began this journey as a procurement manager at Godswill Nigeria Ltd, a key sourcing partner of Olam, one of the world's largest cocoa exporters. There, he developed close, trust-based relationships with farmers and gained a deep appreciation for the effort, skill, and dignity behind every harvest.
Years later, while pursuing a Master's in International Agribusiness at the prestigious University of Göttingen, a single classroom moment changed everything.
A discussion on global value chains revealed that coffee farmers in Ethiopia — like cocoa farmers in Nigeria — receive less than 5% of the retail value of a Starbucks cup or a chocolate bar.
That insight struck a nerve, it highlighted a profound imbalance — and sparked a conviction that agricultural trade must evolve into something more just, transparent, and transformative
Zirah Global Trades Ltd was born to answer that call.
